Health minister inspects standard of services at federal general hospital

ISLAMABAD: Federal Health Minister Aamer Mehmood Kiani on Friday visited the Federal General Hospital at Chak Shahzad in Islamabad.

The minister inspected the different wards of the hospital including its emergency and reviewed the facilities being given to the patients there.

Mr Kiani issued directions to the concerned authorities for bringing improvement in the overall environment of the hospital.

The health minister directed for the timely completion of ongoing development work in the hospital.

Earlier on January 9, the minister had also directed the Holy Family Hospital to uplift its services.

Aamer Mehmood Kiani paid a surprise visit to Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi to monitor the conditions and quality of care being administered to patients.

It is pertinent to mention here that Prime Minister Imran Khan, had expressed his displeasure over poor situation of the hospital services and tasked health minister to make sure the best health services in line with the vision of ‘Naya’ Pakistan.

Upon the directives of the PM Imran, the health minister not only paid a visit to the hospital yesterday and issued immediate directives today reviewed the implementation on the directives.

He said, “The provision of quality health services to all is basic responsibility of the government and we shall leave no stone unturned in order to fulfill the duty.”
