Haroon urges Pakistan to keep demanding Afghanistan for Fazlullah’s arrest

KARACHI: Renowned analyst, Haroon ur Rasheed has said that Pakistan should keep pressurizing Afghanistan for the arrest of Mullah Fazlullah, while he also said that circumstances were not suitable in General (R) Kayani’s time for an offensive to be launched in North Waziristan – ARY News reports.

In his exclusive word with ARY News, Haroon ur Rasheed said that Pakistan should keep demanding Afghanistan for the arrest of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) supremo, Mullah Fazlullah, who is believed to be hiding somewhere in Kunar province of Afghanistan.

He added that Afghanistan will eventually have to admit Pakistan’s demand of arresting Fazlullah, for it has no other option.

Responding to a question that why an operation was not launched in North Waziristan during General (R) Ashfaq Pervez Kayani’s time, Haroon said that then the circumstances were not suitable for an offensive.

Earlier while briefing the foreign media on operation Zarb-e-Azb, ISPR officials and members of the Federal Cabinet of Pakistan had stressed Afghanistan for the arrest of TTP chieftain.

They had also clarified that in the presence of Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Pakistan needs no drones to assist it in the fight against terrorists, within its territorial boundaries.
