Hajj Policy 2015 announced

The policy was announced in a press conference here in Islamabad by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf.

Sardar Muhammad Yousuf said that 1,43,368 people will offer Hajj this year under the government and private scheme.

“Applications can be submitted from April 27th till May 8th. The lucky draw will be held on 14th May”, he said.

He also said that the package has been priced at Rs. 2,64,971 which is cheaper than last year. He added that the facilities of offering Hajj for free will not be provided this time around.

Yousuf added that the pilgrims will have to pay Rs. 14,210 for animal sacrifice ritual.

“The accommodation has been arranged according to the laws in Saudi Arabia whereas food will be provided to the pilgrims for free”, Yousuf said.

The religious affairs minister has advised the pilgrims to keep their Computerized National Identification Card (CNIC) and passport during all times of the holy ritual.
