KARACHI: Just hours after former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ayesha Gulalai’s press conference on Tuesday levelling serious allegations against party chairman Imran Khan, the official website of PTI was hacked by a group of hackers calling themselves as ‘Voice of Pakistan; Death Adders Crew’.
Defacing the web portal, the hackers posted a screen shot of a news channel relating Gulalai’s presser with regard to allegations against Imran.
Leaving a message as footnote, the hackers’ group apparently warned the political party while stating: “We didn’t upload some pictures, you can decide, wake up wake up Pakistan.”
The message further added that they are not supporters of any political party but will never vote for Imran Khan.
The website remained defaced for several hours on Tuesday night with messages calling upon Imran Khan to pay respect to the girls with a message: “We want old Pakistan, we need not new Pakistan.”
PTI has accused elements within the government for defacing the party’s official web portal. It took hours to restore the website completely. However, the website has been redirected to party’s Youtube channel currently.
Gulalai’s Presser
It merits to be mentioned here that Ayesha Gulalai Wazir, the MNA who announced to leave Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday, later in a press conference accused party chief Imran Khan and his cronies sent indecent text messages to female members.
Gulalai also categorically rejected the PTI claim that she demanded party ticket to contest elections from NA-1, Peshawar and said that there are several other reasons which led to the decision to leave PTI, one of which was indecent messages from Imran Khan and his cronies.
