Govt soon to carry out reforms in govt depts: PM

Addressing the Federal Cabinet meeting here, the PM said plights and problems facing the growers should immediately be addressed.

He said the government will soon decide on reforms in public-sector departments. He called for exporting exports of rice and cotton.

The PM said Pak China will sign a new power project of 400 MW during his visit to China this week.

Earlier, the prime minister also asked the authorities concerned to arrest the culprits involved in burning to death a Christian couple in Kot Radha Krishan, Kasur.

Meanwhile, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal briefed the Cabinet meeting that Planning Commission was now fully capable to meet the challenges of new times.

He added that the previous government devolved various ministries in bizarre manner.

The minister said vision 2025 was finalized after consultations with all relevant quarters and analyzing plans of developed nations.

“Early completion of Pak-China economic corridor is one key agenda of Planning Commission,” he informed.
