Govt may amend constitution for transparency in next elections: Dar

Speaking at the session of Electoral Reforms Committee, Dar claimed that the committee has received 290 recommendations from general public adding that the reforms are in final shape while NADRA and printing officials are called in the next session.

Meanwhile, Secretary Election Commission told media that a session on ex-ECP additional secretary Afzal Khan’s allegations will be held tomorrow (Wednesday).

According to him, all reform packages and drafts of new laws were presented before the committee.

The secretary while demanding legislation to install biometric system and voting right for overseas Pakistanis told the session that all election cases will be resolved through electronic voting system while new delimitations are also nnecessary.

It must be noted that two opposition leaders are protesting with their workers on street against rigging in last year’s elections.
