ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan here on Tuesday said that the government was making all out efforts to end the moon controversy and expressed confidence that next Eidul Fitr would be celebrated across the country on same day.
Criticizing the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Dr Firdous said that Punjab’s former chief minister Shehbaz Sharif was missing and added that they wanted Shehbaz to return homeland.
She said that the opposition wanted to use masses as fuel to get their personal interests. Dr. Firdous said that the people knew that who were involved in money laundering. She further said that people were paying price for the wrong policies of the former rulers.

Earlier on June 4, People in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) were celebrating Eid-ul Fitr after the provincial government had announced to celebrate Eid on late Monday, following the testimonies for Shawwal moon sighting.
According to the details, Eid prayers were offered in Peshawar and other cities of the provincial, however people living in Hazara Division, Lower Dir and other areas had rejected the government’s announcement to celebrate Eid and observed fast today.
