LAHORE: Speaker National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that the government does not want to use strict laws on public representatives, ARY News reported.
He was speaking to media after meeting Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman at Ittefaq Hospital.
The NA speaker said that a Parliamentarian is de-seated from the Parliament if he remains absent for 40 days but the government does not want to use strict laws for punishment.
Sadiq also stated that the government will complete its tenure in 2018.
He refused to comment on the Panamagate Case as it is being heard in the Supreme Court.
The Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader said that it is upto the government and opposition to decide who will prepare this year’s budget.
