PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtonkhwa government has decided to get Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) test of prisoners conducted, who are currently languishing in KP jails, ARY News reported Sunday.
The KP government is collecting details of families of prisoners in jails. In this regard, government has decided to get DNA tests conducted of inmates.
Sources told that medical teams had been formed for DNA test and conducting blood tests of prisoners.
In the first phase, as many as 1000 prisoners will go through DNA tests while in the second phase, such tests of inmates in district jails will be conducted.
Around 10,000 prisoners are currently languishing in different KP jails.
