KARACHI: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Sunday lauded the contributions of Hindu community towards the progress of Pakistan, ARY News reported.
Imran Ismail took part in Holi celebrations today and said that the minorities were celebrating their religions festivals freely which reflected the ideology of Pakistan.
He said that all the minorities had equal and complete religious freedom in the country and called for joint efforts by all segments of the society to put the country on the path of progress and prosperity.
The governor said that the current government was providing every possible cooperation and assistance to the Hindu community.

Earlier, Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal on March 5, had said Pakistan valued the contributions of the Hindu community and payed respect to them as its own.
In a statement on Twitter, the FO spokesperson had said, “Pakistan proudly owns the white in the flag as much as the green, values contributions of the Hindu community and honours them as our own.”
