Missing girl found dead in Hyderabad was killed by her aunt: police

HYDERABAD: The mystery over the murder of a seven-year-old girl was reportedly solved on Friday after police claimed to have arrested her uncle’s wife, ARY News reported.

The girl named Armish was murdered and then found dumped by a veiled person after being placed in a shopping bag in the Latifabad No.10 area of Hyderabad.

The girl had left her house yesterday at around 6PM and had not returned. The CCTV footage of the area showed a veiled individual dump the body of the young girl.

Her father had earlier claimed that his daughter went missing after she was playing in the local street. The father appeared inconsolable and said that Armish was his only child. He said the video clearly shows that his daughter was kidnapped and then murdered, and his beloved child will never return now.

The girl’s grandfather said that Armish was kidnapped from near their house. The family searched her after she didn’t return home and a complaint was filed with the police.

Police had earlier claimed that a member of the family could be responsible for the incident and were investigating the matter when the headway was made.

Police claimed that the the her aunt’s mother also played a role in the girl’s murder. The veiled person in the CCTV footage who dumped the girl’s body is reportedly her aunt’s mother.

Both women are currently under custody and are being interrogated to ascertain the motive behind the murder. According to an initial post mortem report, the girl died due to suffocation but showed no sign of abuse.
