German envoy lauds improved security in meeting with COAS

RAWALPINDI: German Ambassador to Pakistan Martin Kobler called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters on Monday, reported ARY News.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), they discussed matters of mutual interest, including regional peace.

Speaking on the occasion, the envoy said the security situation in Pakistan has improved, which would have positive effects on economic activities in the country.

Earlier, on Dec 6, the German ambassador met with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

During the meeting, he praised the efforts of Pakistan in promoting peace and stability in the region. The foreign minister and the envoy agreed to deepen bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields.

Speaking on the occasion, Qureshi welcomed the decision of renowned German firm ‘Volks Wagon’ to establish their manufacturing units in the country.
