Gen Bajwa pays tribute to nationwide women on Intl Women’s Day

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said on Thursday the great Pakistani women have a role and responsibility towards progress of Pakistan.

Pakistan Army spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor shared the army chief’s message in a tweet on the International Women’s Day, marked every year on March 8.

In the tweet, the

army chief was quoted as saying: “We are proud of role and contributions of our women in uniform, back home and especially the ones who belong to martyrs’ families. The great Pakistani women have a role and responsibility towards progress of Pakistan.”

A video was also shared with the message, paying tribute to the nationwide women.
