KARACHI: The Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) on Tuesday demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and expressed resolve to play an active role of opposition in Sindh.
Addressing a joint press conference along with Syed Sadruddin Shah Rashidi, the GDA Secretary General Ayaz Latif Palijo demanded National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and National Accountability Bureau (FIA) to continue actions against the corrupt elements without any discrimination.
He said the federal government should announce more jobs and Sindh package for the people of the province.
Syed Sadruddin Shah Rashidi told the journalists that Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon address a public meeting in Ghotki on the invitation of Ali Gohar Maher.
He said that they will apprise the prime minister about all the issues during his visit to Ghotki. He said that the GDA will perform an active role of opposition in Sindh.
Earlier, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari, on December 3, had demanded of Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah to step-down from his office.
In a tweet message, Zulfi Bukhari said, “While only landgrabbers/thieves/mafia come to Zardari Cartel’s rescue, a new LOW was reached by Murad Ali Shah when held accountable for his corruption. Shame on him for being a blind servant trying to justify his loyalty by stooping so low without any respect for.”
