KARACHI: A fresh weather system currently affecting Balochistan and other areas of the country caused rainfall in the province and other parts of the country on Sunday night, ARY News reported.
The weather system will likely to persist over upper parts of the country till Monday (night), the met office said in its report.
Widespread rain with thunderstorm and snowfalls over the hills reported in Balochistan,s Zhob, Sibbi, Nasirabad and Kalat divisions, while at scattered places in Multan, Bahawalpur,Sukkur, Larkana and Shaheed Benazirabad divisions.
The low-lying areas in Chaman came under the water with heavy rainfall in the district causing flooding in rain drains.

Department (PMD) forecast widespread rain and thunderstorm with gusty winds in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore and Faislabad divisions of upper Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Monday night.The weather report also warned, heavy rains may trigger land slides in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.
Weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country.However, rain occurred at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, Makran, Kalat, Sibbi, Larkana and Sukkur divisions, while at isolated places in Karachi and D.G Khan divisions.
According to the weeather report the maximum rainfall during last 24 hours reported in Quetta with 36mm, Sibbi 20mm, Kalat 16mm
