Four killed in firing incident near Quetta

QUETTA: Four people were killed and two others injured in firing incident on Sunday in Kuchlak town in the outskirts of Quetta, ARY News reported.  

A security official said that the passengers including two women were coming from Chaman in a taxi, when the incident occurred near Jalawageer intersection in Kucklak.

The passengers stopped at Kucklak to drink water, when unknown assailants opened indiscriminate firing. Three passengers were killed on the spot, while another succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.

Levies officials informed that the assailants

escaped after the incident. The attackers did not target the women who were safely taken to Quetta. Police, Levies and Frontier Corps officials reached the scene of the incident. The taxi driver also escaped from the scene.

Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri and Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai condemned the incident and expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of human lives. The chief minister has directed the concerned authorities to arrest culprits involved in the incident.
