Four including youth drown at small dam in Gadap Town

Rescue officials said four girls who were residents of Old Golimar area were visiting their relatives in Gadap Town. Later, the girls along with family members of their relatives went to the nearby Thado dam for recreational purposes when the unfortunate incident took place when they were bathing in the dam.

Area residents and officials made complete efforts to rescue them from the reservoir at the dam. They retrieved four of them in an unconscious state and sent them to the hospital. However, they could not survive and four people including one youth died before arrival.

They were identified as Javed, Rehana, Maryam and Zarina. Another girl named Farah was rescued in a critical condition. Their bodies have been shifted to Abassi Shaheed Hospital  for legal proceedings.
