ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken have reaffirmed the mutual desire to further strengthen Pakistan-US bilateral ties in a recent telephonic conversation, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
FM Bilawal Bhutto said in a Twitter message that he spoke to US State Secretary Antony Blinken.
“We reaffirmed our mutual desire to further strengthen bilateral ties by expanding our engagement in trade, energy, health and security marking 75 years of our relationship,” said Bilawal.

The foreign minister said that both countries must increase people-to-people and business-to-business contacts.
The spokesperson of the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Bilawal received a phone call from Blinken today. They reiterated mutual commitment to deepen Pak-US ties marking 75 years and looked forward to frequent exchange of high-level visits.FM Bilawal requested the state secretary to ease the issuance of visas for Pakistani nationals.
According to MOFA, they appreciated the ongoing visit of Special Rep Dilawar Syed and stressed solidifying trade and commercial ties. Both leaders have also reaffirmed mutual cooperation in energy, health, security and economic development.
They also discussed the need for continuous engagement with the interim Afghanistan government to deal with the humanitarian crisis.
