Flood warning issued in Rawalpindi

According to District Coordination Officer (DCO) Rawalpindi, the authorities ran sirens when water levels in the sewerage and drains exceeded.

He added that the authorities are capable of handling any situation. He was of the view that water level will decrease when the rains stop.

Meanwhile, water levels are also increasing in Nala Lai of Rawalpindi. The height of flooding in Nala Lai rose to 22 feet after heavy downpours.

The meteorological department had predicted rains in most parts of the country on Friday.
