Firing reported at Working Boundary after DGMOs talk

In the latest incident Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) opened unprovoked firing at the Working Boundary, however no casualties were reported, security sources said.

Pakistan’s Chenab Rangers responded to the firing from across the border and silenced the Indian guns.

Sialkot Working Boundary has since last month has witnessed spike in tensions with several incidents of firing.

The Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India held a telephonic conversation on hotline on Wednesday and agreed to take steps for de-escalation in the border areas.
