IAF failure damaged Modi’s narrative: Fawad

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said that there are long-standing issues between Pakistan and India.

In an interview to a Russian television, he said India tried to blame everything on Pakistan. “International media’s reports about an Indian airstrike in Balakot reflect the truth.”

In reference to the Pulwama incident, the minister said even Indian intellectuals and media had been saying that the Feb 14 attack in Pulwama district was an inside job. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attempted to capitalise on the Pulwama attack ahead of upcoming elections in India, h added.

He said the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) failure damaged the narrative of Modi.

Chaudhry said Indian atrocities in the occupied Kashmir have caused a wave of hatred against New Delhi.

He said India had been sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan, adding that on numerous occasions, the Pakistan government had offered India to resolve all issues through dialogue.

Yesterday, reacting to Indian cricket team’s donning military camouflage caps during a match, the minister tweeted: “It’s just not Cricket”, I hope ICC ll take action for politicising Gentleman’s game … if Indian Cricket team ll not be stopped, Pak Cricket team should wear black bands to remind The World about Indian atrocities in Kashmir… I urge to lodge formal protest.”
