ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda on Sunday said every individual of the society would have to play his role for conservation of water resources.
Faisal Vawda said this in a meeting with and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore. They discussed matters of mutual interest, including measures taken for protection of water resources.
Speaking on this occasion, the Punjab chief minister said the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was working for conservation and management of water resources on emergency basis.

He said the campaign for collection of funds for dams had become a national movement.
Vawda in a statement last month vowed to overcome water scarcity across the country in collaboration with all the provinces.
He said the government was evolving consensus on water policy among the provinces and announced to make Water and Power Development Authority a corporate institute. He expressed hope that soon the government will overcome the water crises in the country.
The minister said strict measures will be taken against the water theft on emergency bases and announced to demolish all the illegal water hydrants across the country.
