The assailants opened fire on the DSP’s car in Mingora in Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, leaving him dead, while two of his guards sustained serious injuries in the attack. They were transferred to a nearby hospital.
According to hospital doctors three bullets found in head, shoulder and neck of the slain DSP.
Police has initiated preliminary investigation of the incident. The law enforcement agencies have launched a search operation in the area to arrest the culprits.
