Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said deadlock still persists between the opposite parties over the issue of ToRs.
Pakistan Muslim League-N leader and Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said accountability of only one person was unacceptable. Target of both the opposition parties’ demand for accountability was Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Next date of meeting could also not be decided amid the disagreement over the ToRs.
On the other hand, Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto has said that the government was forcing them to resort to other options by not agreeing on the ToRs committee’s proposals.
Bilawal said that they were adamant on their stance and will not let the government escape from the situation without a decision made on the issue.
He made the remarks as a crucial meeting of the ToR committee is set to convene today to bring new proposals to the table. However, not much is been expected as all efforts have been unfruitful to bring the government on the same page for an inquiry over the Panama Papers.
