CTD submits report on Chinese Consulate attack in court

KARACHI: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Friday submitted a report in court about attack on Chinese Consulate in Karachi, ARY News reported.

In the terrorist attack, on November 23, two policemen were killed while fighting with the terrorists. Two civilians in the Consulate were also died in the attack.

A private security guard, Juman, was also seriously injured while resisting the attack.

The law enforcement personnel killed all three attackers identified as Azal Khan, Raziq Khan and Raees, the CTD report said.

A terrorist outfit Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) had accepted responsibility of the Chinese Consulate attack.

According to the report, the investigators have reached near the facilitators of the terrorists in the attack. The law enforcement agencies taking steps for arrest of the terrorists and their accomplices nominated in the first investigation report (FIR), the report further said.

Seven commanders of the banned outfit of BLA including its chief have been named in the case.

The terrorists involved in the attack were affiliated with Aslam alias Achhu faction of the BLA.
