LAHORE: The Counter Terrorist Department (CTD) on Saturday successfully carried out an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) resulting in the arrest of seven terrorists affiliated with a banned organization, ARY News reported.
The CTD officials disclosed the identities of the arrested individuals as Sher Mohammad, Abdul Khaliq, Ikramullah and Najeebullah. The terrorist were arrested from from different regions, including Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, and Sahiwal.
The CTD officials claimed that these terrorists were allegedly involved in planning to target sensitive installations and important personalities, posing a significant threat to national security.

During the operation, the CTD recovered a considerable amount of explosives, weapons, and equipment used for manufacturing suicide jackets.
Furthermore, the Punjab CTD conducted a total of 472 search and combing operations throughout the previous week, intensifying efforts to identify and neutralize potential security threats.
The Punjab CTD authorities checked over 8,000 individuals during these operations in which 75 suspects were arrested.
