Court suspends appointment of Acting Pemra chairman

Justice Noorul Haq Qureshi of the IHC resumed the hearing of the contempt of court petition filed by Pemra’s private member Israr Abbasi.

Israr Abbasi had challenged the appointment of Rathore as acting chairman of Pemra.

The court also suspended the notification for the appointment of Kamaluddin Tipu as a member of the Pemra’s executive body.
