ISLAMABAD: The special court hearing the trial against Pervez Musharraf under the Article-6, has rejected the plea of the former President to provide him documents relating to the emergency imposed in November 2007 – ARY News reports.
The court said in its verdict that the phase of presenting testimonies in the case, has not yet initiated and the accused can be provided these documents, once this process starts on June 17.
The counsel of the former President, Faisal Chaudhry said that the plea was not rejected on merit. He added that Pervez Musharraf has full chance of acquiring the documents.
Responding to a question, Chaudhry said that the law permits Musharraf to go abroad.
Earlier, the registrar of the special court had read out the court verdict on Musharraf’s plea.
