MULTAN: Former prime minister and PPP leader Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani has said that corrupt politicians should be held accountable, ARY News reported.
He was speaking to media on Sunday morning.
Gillani said that everyone has the right to stage protest but Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is against violence on protesters.
The ex-premier went on to say that it is the duty of both the government and the opposition to follow the court orders.
He added that the Terms of Reference (ToRs) for the investigation of Panama Leaks allegations has been submitted in the Parliament’s upper house. He said that that ToRs should be accepted.
“Even Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan’s stance is included in the terms of reference”, Gillani said.
The PPP leader said that cases are pending against him and ex-PM Raja Pervez Ashraf. “I go to court for the proceedings”, he added.
Gillani said that PPP and its leaders are not afraid of the cases against them.
