Charges will be framed againt IG Police Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali and other police officials on Thursday (tomorrow).
A division bench of the high court headed by Justice Sajjad Ali Shah in its written decision said that the apology of the IGP Sindh could not be accepted as he covered up the facts. His apology could not be granted until he accepts the supremacy of the law.
The court will frame charges against the IGP Sindh and other police officials tomorrow.
Sindh Police chief Before the SHC on Tuesday, the IG Sindh submitted a report in which it was claimed that the policemen involved in the incident were suspended over their misconduct.
IG Sindh Police Ghulam Haider Jamali and AIG Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo appeared in the court on Tuesday and submitted unconditional apology over authorising the masked personnel to do this act on the court’s premises.
The court observed that high police officials, including IG Sindh, have committed contempt of court for which they would be charge-sheeted and cross-examined in the court on May 28 (tomorrow).
