COAS vows to ‘go to any length’ to make Karachi terror-free

General Raheel Sharif today visited the Corps Headquarters Karachi, where he presided over a special security review meeting with corps commander Karachi, director generals of the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence (MI), Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) and Pakistan Rangers Sindh on-board.

According to ISPR spokesman, Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, the COAS appreciated Rangers and other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) for improving security environment in the megapolis.

On the occasion, Gen Sharif was briefed about ongoing Karachi operation including intelligence-based operations (IBOs) being conducted against terrorists and miscreants across the city.

He specially commended the intelligence agencies (IAs) for achieving major breakthrough in unearthing different terrorist networks in a bid to dismantle their infrastructure and sever linkages with terrorist cells outside Karachi.

The army chief vowed to ‘go to any length’ for a secure and terror-free Karachi in order to ensure peaceful and fearless routine life of the people living in the megapolis.
