This was discussed during a meeting between CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and CM KP Pervez Khattak where both decried that the paltry resources received from the federal government were not sufficient for the development of their respective provinces.
Later, while addressing the media at the CM House, Khattak said that the federal government was misappropriating 500-600 Megawatts which was the rightful share of the KP. He said that they were preparing to protest against this attitude by the federal government.
Khattak said that the CM Sindh should also take note of the electricity theft by the government. He said that he had known that more than 1000 Megawatts of electricity was been stolen from the share of Sindh.
While apologising to the people of Punjab, he said that the federal government was only concerned about the welfare and development of the province and was giving the impression that only Punjab was a part of Pakistan, and the provinces of Sindh, Balochistan and KP are not been given their rightful share.
While answering a question, Khattak said that the decision againt the protest and sit-in against the government will be taken by the central leadership of his party.
CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah said that they are neither consulted over developmental works over mega-projects. He said that peaceful protest was the constitutional right of everyone and if their legal obligations were not met then they will have no option but to resort to protest against the injustices.
He expressed anger and said that the provincial matters cannot be run by the federal government, and it is not feasible for the people of Sindh to go to Islamabad to demand their rights.
