CM Punjab takes notice after child gets injured by his protocol vehicle

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the incident in which a child was hit and injured by a vehicle of his protocol.

According to details, CM Usman Buzdar has sought an inquiry report into the accident and directed the deputy commissioner and district police officer (DPO) Sialkot to visit the family and inquire about the child’s health.

On the directives of Punjab CM, the two senior officials visited the family and presented sweets and compensation money.

Later the child’s father forgave the driver, who inadvertently hit the child. Sources said the child sustained minor injuries. He was shifted to a local hospital for first aid treatment.

Earlier on August 28, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar directed the relevant authorities to submit him an inquiry report into death of a minor girl at a public hospital in Mian Channu.

Mother of the one-year-old girl, a Thalassemia patient, has alleged that her daughter expired because doctors left her to attend to the CM during his visit to the hospital.
