CM Punjab seeks resignation of Rana Sanaullah

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif says he has asked Law Minister Rana Sanaullah to resign from his position, ARY News reported .

Sometimes hard decisions are to be taken in testing times, said the CM while addressing a press conference today.

“I won’t sit patiently until I get justice meted out to the persons concerned. I decided him to remove him (Sanaullah) for the sake of justice,” he told media men.

At least 12 people were killed during a clash between Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers and police in Model Town area three days back when police attempted to remove barriers outside Minhajul Quran secretariat, prompting brutal clash between the two sides.

The CM also announced to sacked his personal secretary Dr. Tauqeer.

Rana has rendered huge services for Punjab, which could not be ruled out. He is my very close companion, added the CM

He said if Supreme Court took suo motu notice, we would welcome the step. “I will also be presented in the court of people.”
