CM Punjab seeks inquiry into death of minor girl in Mian Channu

MIAN CHANNU: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Tuesday directed the relevant authorities to submit him an inquiry report into death of a minor girl at a public hospital in Mian Channu, ARY News reported.

Mother of the one-year-old girl, a Thalassemia patient, has alleged that her daughter expired because doctors left her to attend to the CM during his visit to the hospital.

On the flip side, a PTI social media team has shared a video dismissing the claim. The video shows Buzdar speaking to a patient and the same mother is sitting next to the patient and her daughter is being administered a drip.

The mother had also claimed that protocol officers of the provincial chief minister denied her entry to the hospital.

The doctors rejected the impression that the girl died due to their negligence.

They said the staff performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the girl but to no avail.
