ISLAMABAD: Chinese Foreign Minister (FM) Qin Gang will reach Pakistan on his maiden visit since assuming the office on May 5, ARY News reported, quoting diplomatic sources.
Sources said Mr Gang would land in Islamabad on May 5 immediately after attending the SCO Foreign Ministers’ Meet 2023 in Indian state of Goa. He would hold strategic talks with Pakistani officials during the visit on May 6.
Pakistan and China are also expected to hold trilateral meeting with Afghanistan to discuss the regional situation. The moot would be held in Islamabad and it would be attended by interim Afghan foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.

Earlier, China’s State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang said that his country was ready to work with Pakistan to advance friendly cooperation and promote the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and all-round cooperation between the two countries for greater progress.
The Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang expressed these remarks during a meeting with Islamabad’s Foreign Secretary Asad Majeed Khan in Beijing.
