ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Sunday took suo motu notice of the killing of 20 people in Balochistan’s Turbat and Kech districts over the last five days.
As many as 20 bullet-riddled bodies were found in Turbat and Buleda areas of the province this week. All the deceased hailed from Punjab and were brought there by human traffickers to make them enter into Iran illegally.
The Chief Justice has summoned a detailed report on the matter from the provincial police chief of Balochistan and the director of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) within three days. They are required to inform the apex court about the steps they have taken to prevent such incidents in future.
A day earlier, the bullet-riddled bodies of five men were discovered by the Levies in Kech district of Balochistan.

On Nov 17, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan killed an alleged terrorist involved in the recent killing of 15 illegal border-crossers during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO), Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) had said in a statement.
According to ISPR, the raid was carried out near Alandur area – Abdul Rehman village – of Turbat district on an intelligence tip-off about presence of the terrorists.
Younis Taukali, one of the eight top commanders of Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), was killed in an exchange of fire with the FC personnel.
The terrorist was killed 20 kilometres west of Buleda and 25km north of where the bullet-riddled bodies of 15 migrants mostly hailing from Punjab were found on Wednesday.
