RAWALPINDI: Disgruntled PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar on Tuesday said that he and some other “elders” deserve credit for making Nawaz Sharif a leader, ARY News reported.
Addressing an election rally in Rawalpindi, the former interior minister said that he stayed loyal to Nawaz Sharif like a brother and deserves credit for making him a leader.
“I have stayed loyal to Nawaz for 34 long years but Nawaz not only betrayed me but turned against me,”.
He maintained that he is a principled politician and would have opted for making alliance with some rival party to ensure his victory but opted out of it and entered into an open competition.

Nisar also maintained that he has to speak up about the threats facing the country as top political figures like Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan and Zardari are not speaking up about them during their election campaign.
It is pertinent to note here that the former PML-N stalwart Chaudhry Nisar is contesting as an independent candidate on four seats – two National Assembly and two Punjab Assembly seats.
NA-59 (Rawalpindi), NA 63 (Taxila) and Punjab Assembly’s PP-10 and PP-12 will see Nisar contesting polls on ‘jeep’ symbol.
The new constituency of NA-59 comprises areas such as Chakri, Chontra, Saddar Baironi, Adiyala, Rawat and other adjoining areas.
