LAHORE: Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan on Friday said that an aggressive campaign would be launched against encroachments from October 1 in all districts of the province in which no political pressure would be entertained, ARY News reported.
Presiding over a high level meeting held at Civil Secretariat, Aleem Khan said that steps would be taken to restore the original condition of the buildings and all encroachments will be removed.
“The mafias would be nabbed while poor, widows and cart holders would be given soft corner and some margin in this regard,” announced the minister.
He observed this while in which Law Minister Mohammad Basharat Raja, Chief Secretary, IG Police, Secretaries and Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, RPOs, DPOs and concerned officers were present through video link.
Law Minister Mohammad Basharat Raja appreciated the performance of all the field officers in Moharram ul Harram and said that such spirit should remain active all the time.
Abdul Aleem Khan said that after removing the encroachments, a cleanliness and beautification campaign would be started in all the districts so that main roads and important sites of all cities could be renovate and decorated for a clean environment.
He also said that steps should also be taken to minimize power theft and the culprits take in to task.
Aleem Khan stressed upon implementation of 100-day plan in all the departments, adding that everyone should play their role and leave no stone unturned in this regard.
Aleem Khan said that he himself would be visiting different cities and will start the anti-encroachment campain from Gujranwala.
