According to an ISPR statement, the meeting took place at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
“The British foreign secretary acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s sincere efforts and sacrifices in war against terrorism and for stability in the region,” it read.
Earlier, on arrival at the GHQ, Mr Philip Hammond laid a floral wreath on Yadgar-e-Shuhada (martyrs’ monument). A smartly turned out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented guard of honor to the visiting dignitary.
