Superintendent of Police Jamshoro Tariq Wilayat confirmed that the blast hit a railway track and said some explosives were planted near the track that exploded.
He said initially there were no reports of casualties.
“Police and rescue teams have been sent to the spot to collect evidence and help the injured.” He said a cyclist was injured, who has been moved to the nearby hospital.
On April 1, Jamshoro Police had arrested three activists belonging to outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan’s (TTP) Shaharyar group. Police also claimed the recovery of hand grenades, weapons and explosives with chemicals from the arrested men.
The three men were identified as Gul Zareen, Bahauddin and Shahuddin. Five hand grenades, two TT pistols, 10kg of explosive were also recovered.
