KARACHI: Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inaugurated Sir Aga Khan Jhirak-Mulla Katiar Bridge, constructed on the Indus River, ARY News reported on Monday.
According to details, the project has been completed with a cost of Rs. 4.5 billion.
A link road connecting Tando Mohammad Khan with Thatta has also been constructed alongside the 1.7 kilometer long bridge.
Sindh Government has termed the project’s completion a “major accomplishment” and claimed that it will positively affect the provincial economy in this part of the province.
Strict security measures have been taken for the inauguration ceremony as approximately 400 police officers have been deployed in the area.
A spokesman of Sindh Government has said that the landmark project has been completed with the efforts of the Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.
