Bilawal Bhutto reveals three candidates for slot of party president in Sindh

LARKANA: Pakistan People’s People Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Wednesday revealed the finalists for the part president in Sindh namely Qaim Ali Shah, Nisar Khuhro and Maulabux Chandio.

Bilawal, while addressing a press conference said that he had dissolved all the party leadership from all the provinces since the last six months, and coordination committees were set up to tour the provinces and provide names for the party office bearers, He has now received their reports which will now be approved by the central executive committee of the party.

The candidates will be interviewed at the Bilawal House in Karachi, and he will also soon initiate the process to interview all prospective office bearers across the province.

A press statement by the PPP media cell senior Party hierarchy will now be consulted and final nomination shall be made very soon.  This is reflective of aspirations of the party workers and will also be conducted in other provinces and Azad Jammu & Kashmir to the level of district bodies.

Bilawal also said that he hopes that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be the premier of the entire country and not just a particular province. He reminded that that slogan of ‘Go Nawaz Go’ was first raised by Benazir Bhutto in 1996.

He said that the Karachi Stock Exchange was the best performing in the country whose name was changed, and now all strategic assets are being pulled from the province.

He said that this is against the spirit of the 18th Amendment and it does not make any sense that institutions are being renamed and taken out of the province. “I hope that the Prime Minister is of the entire country,” he said.

He thanked the people of Karachi for their support during the Oct 16 rally, and said that Karachi was the melting point of cultures and ethnicity and had sent a message to the world that they have rejected terrorism.

He reminded once again that Karsaz attack was the biggest attack of terrorism against a political party, and said that the unnamed victims of the attack who were buried in Garhi Khuda Baksh were also Bhuttos, as they had given their lives for the sake of democracy and against terrorism.

It may be mentioned that Bilawal has instructed party officials not to comment on the existing war of words and accusations between Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad and Pak Sarzameen Party Chief Mustafa Kamal, neither on the differences between the two factions of the Muttahida Quami Movement.
