PPP celebrating Bhutto’s birth anniversary today

Charismatic Zulfikar Ali Bhutto changed the hue of Pakistani politics with his populist approach in the country. He was the first elected prime minister of Pakistan and had given the country its first unanimous constitution in 1973.

PPP workers celeberating Bhutto’s birth anniversary by donating blood to hospitals and holding cake cutting ceremonies across the country.

The centeral ceremony was held at Bhutto’s resting place in Garhi Khuda Bux in Larkana district of Sindh with recitation of holy Quran in the morning today. The ceremony was also attended by the centeral leaders of PPP.


PPP workers went out of the control and involved in rowdy scenes during a cake cutting ceremony in Multan on the birth day of their late leader. PPP

also celeberated the birthday of its founding leader in Azad Kashmir and other parts of the country. Former president Asif Ali Zardari in a message on the occasion has said that his party will not allow anyone to usurp power in the name of religion or on any pretext whatsoever. PPP leader said that Bhutto had given the country a unanimous constitution, which “envisages that the power to make or amend the Constitution and the laws on behalf of the people rests with the parliament and parliament alone”.
