ISLAMABAD: A session of Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has been summoned by the Finance Minister Asad on Tuesday (tomorrow), ARY News reported on Monday.
The session will be held to discuss 19-point agenda and review implementation of decisions taken by the Federal Cabinet, sources said.
Formation of division for poverty alleviation and social protection, as well as approval of appointment for new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of national flag-carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) were included in the agenda for the upcoming session.
An extension is likely to be made in licence period of Vision Air for domestic and international flight operations.
The ECC will also discuss validation of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between auditor general officers of Pakistan and Malaysia. Moreover, a review will also be made on an agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for coordination in promoting renewable energy projects.

Pakistan is expected to impose a complete ban on broadcasting of matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the country.
A policy will be devised for renewal of licences for mobile companies for the year of 2019. The committee would also formalise the appointments of three members of National Industrial Relation Commission (NIRC).
The committee will hold detailed discussions over the report spotted financial irregularities made during construction of Islamabad airport.
The federal government is likely to give final approval for transfer of budget and funds allocated for the uplift of erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) after its merger.
Earlier, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting had approved supplementary grant amounting to Rs1795 million for the temporarily dislocated persons from North Waziristan in the wake of Operation Zarb-e-Azb on March 20.
