KARACHI: Mutahidda Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has demanded the government to lift suspension of ARY News license.
In a statement, Altaf said gags on freedom of expression and forced closure of channels were illegal moves. He condemned the ban on ARY News despite court orders, which granted stay to the channel.

operators were continuously being pressurized. “Government and Pakistan Electronic Media & Regulatory Authority (Pemra) should learn lessons and immediately lift gags on ARY News,” he demanded.The MQM chief asked the Punjab government to tender an apology and warned that MQM would stand by journalists and protest if such media gags were again imposed in future.
