KARACHI: MQM chief Altaf Hussain has appealed the people to participate in large numbers in MQM’s solidarity rally for Pakistan army on July 6, ARY News reported Thursday.
In a video message from London, Husssaid said nation was standing by Pakistan army in this time. “Heavily armed army is fighting terrorists with gallantry, hence everyone should stand by the armed forces,” said the MQM chief.
He said MQM was taking out solidarity rally for army on July 6 in Karachi. A message should reach army that the entire nation was behind them, he appealed.
In his video message, the MQM chief raised slogans of ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ zindabad. (Long live, Zarb-e-Azb).
Pakistan army had launched operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ in the mid of last month against terrorists in North Waziristan Agency. More than 350 militants have been killed in air strikes so far. The army has now begun ground offensive to crush terrorists in the tribal areas of NWA.
