PESHAWAR: An earthquake of 5.2 intensity shook capital city of Islamabad and Pakistan’s northern areas on Saturday afternoon, ARY News reported.
Islamabad, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Muzaffarabad, Swat, Mangora were among the cities and town of the country jolted by the tremors. The magnitude of earthquake shocks was recorded 5.2 on the Richter scale, said the meteorological department.
It said the epicenter of the tremors was located 13 kilometers distance from Kaghan at a depth of 10 kilometers, reports said.
Overtaken by fear and panic people in the affected areas rushed out of their houses and offices to open space.
No causalities or damage to the property were reported so far.
