13 students injured in stampede after ‘terror attack’ rumour

Panic gripped the Vaqar-un-Nisa College this morning when gun shots were heard near the college and students rushed towards the gate in an attempt to evade possible danger.

The law enforcement personnel and Quick Response Force were immediately called to the college to control the situation.

Senior Rawalpindi police officer Fakahar Sultan told that no terror incident occurred at the college. He said police were going after car thefts near the college building and they fired aerial shots that sparked panic among the students in the building.
