PESHAWAR: President Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday ridiculed former prime minister Nawaz Sharif for repeatedly asking people that why he was ousted, ARY News reported.
“Mian sahib still keep asking why he was ousted. If he thought it was wrong then he should have stayed put. Why did you vacate Prime Minister’s Office, when you did not know any sound reason for it?” he asked while addressing Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)’s workers’ convention in Peshawar.
He said the ex-PM left his office for fear of those ‘who force vacate seats’ and not for fear from the PPP.

Nawaz Sharif resigned on July 28 following the Supreme Court’s verdict in Panama Leaks case against him. The top court ruled him unfit for office for failing to disclose income and ordered further probe into his offshore assets.
Panama Papers leaks had revealed Nawaz’s family had bought London apartments through offshore companies.
Former president said Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan was not to be blamed for the ex-premier’s ouster, he was just an innocent cricketer.
He also said nations should be vigilant of people like Nawaz and Imran.

“People like them come and go in one’s life. If it was possible for them, they would have sold Pakistan yet,” he said.
On Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata)’s merger, he said the PPP made several laws for Fata in its tenure and now it would be a last push for Fata.
“We have to merge Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Either it would materialize now or in our government,” he said.
